Chattbir National Zoo

Chattbir Zoo (formally Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park), is a zoological reserve near Zirakpur, India. The zoo was developed in the 1970s and is home to a huge assortment of feathered birds, warm-blooded animals and reptiles. The zoo was inaugurated in 1977 by the then legislative head of Punjab Mahendra Mohan Choudhry, and it was dedicated as Mahendra Chaudhury Zoological Park. At first, the zoo was populated by few creatures brought from Guwahati Zoo, Assam and it soon turned into the biggest zoo in Northern India
