Agra,
city of the Taj Mahal, on the Bank of river Yamuna, is only
2.5 hours away by train, four hours by road and 30 minutes by air
from Delhi. Over 350 year old white marble Taj is the main draw and
major hotel chains have properties to cater the needs of the
multitudes of visitors.
The Taj Mahal - built by the Mughal
Emperor Shahjehan, this beautiful mausoleum is of pure white marble
and is an architectural marvel.
Agra has a rich historical
background, which is amply evident from the numerous historical
monuments in and around the city. Though the heritage of Agra city
is linked with the Mughal dynasty, numerous other rulers also
contributed to the rich past of this city. Agra was founded by
Sikandar Lodhi (Lodhi dynasty; Delhi Sultanate) in the 16th century.
Babur (founder of the Mughal dynasty) also stayed for sometime in
Agra and introduced the concept of square Persian-styled gardens
here. Emperor Akbar built the Agra fort, Jahangir beautified it with
palaces and gardens. Shahjahan marked the zenith of Mughal
architecture, when he built the Taj.
Howard Park Plaza , Agra offers the discerning traveller and privileged
businessperson 83 first class rooms & suites. The hotel’s
cuisine is renowned for its taste and splendour. Howard Park Plaza
guests enjoy a view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop-viewing
gallery.
The monument is just 1.5 kms. away. Howard Park
Plaza is very centrally located, only 5 kms. from the Railway
Station and an easy access from the Airport.

Places Of
Interest :
Agra Fort – Built by Emperor
Akbar, the maze of courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the
fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire. Moti Masjid and Jasmine
Tower reflect the skills of the ancient Indian architects and
artisans.
Sikandra - The Tomb of Akbar the Great,
built in red sandstone inlaid with marble, is a striking
sight.
Fatehpur Sikri – The deserted city of Emperor
Akbar, literally means ”The city of Victory”. The audience halls,

the tombs of Sheikh Salim Chisti, the Panchamahal and the Buland
