Mansoor Adi
Executive Vice President

Mansoor Adil is the Executive Vice President of Sarovar Hotels. Mansoor’s responsibilities include the Group’s development plans, including direct investments, joint ventures, overseeing the operations of the various hotels of Sarovar and at the corporate level on issues of strategic importance to the Group.

A graduate of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, he joined Oberoi Hotels from where he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management in 1983. He has also undertaken various professional finance and banking related programs from Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Reserve Bank of India. His past background in finance and an equally long exposure in the hospitality sector at middle and senior management levels provide a unique domain specific knowledge.

His experience and background spans across three industry segments, having worked in the hospitality business, in Corporate Banking and in the BPO industry. In the hospitality sector, he has worked with Oberoi Hotels and The Taj Group where, in his last assignment he headed Taj Bengal, Kolkata. In the banking segment, at The Bank of Credit & Commerce as Group Manager: Credits for Asia Pacific Region, he oversaw the credit portfolio of the region while at GE capital he was part of the first major BPO’s establishment in India. Mansoor’s working career has spanned from India to the UK, Hong Kong and the Middle East.

S. Raja
Chief Financial Officer

S. Raja is a Commerce graduate of Mumbai University and a Chartered Accountant. He has over 22 years experience in Finance, Banking, Accounts, Budgeting, MIS, Taxation, Costing, Internal Audit, Systems Implementation, Company Secretarial and Legal matters with several reputed organizations including Universal Ferro & Allied Chemicals, Paragon Textile Mills, Ramgopal Polytex and ACG Worldwide.

His last assignment was as Vice President – Finance with Keystone Realtors, a Group engaged in real estate development, where he played a key role in raising private equity for a large project. He was also instrumental in raising project finance for several projects.

At Sarovar Hotels, Raja is responsible for Corporate Finance, Accounts, MIS, Treasury, Taxation and Company Secretarial functions of the Group.

Pradeep Kalra
Sr. Vice President –Sales and Marketing

Pradeep Kalra has a Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Management Studies, Delhi and a certificate in International Marketing from IIFT. Pradeep has over 33 years of work experience, with the last 23 years through hotel assignments in prominent hotel chains including Oberoi Hotels and Jaypee Hotels as Vice- President / Sr. Vice-President Sales & Marketing. He has spent considerable periods of time on corporate, travel and conference sales & marketing.

At Sarovar Hotels & Resort, Pradeep is responsible for Sales & Marketing for the group.

T.K. Das
Vice President – Technical Services

T.K Das is a Marine Engineer with over 40 years experience. He has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and was Director – Engineering, Oberoi Hotels, Western Region for 10 years. He was also Vice-President Engineering and Projects, Leela Hotels for 2 years and Director-Engineering, The Regent, Mumbai for 2 years.

Satpal Singh
Vice President – Projects

Satpal Singh is a Civil Engineer from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. With over 26 year’s experience, he has spearheaded numerous projects and management initiatives. Satpal has worked with DLF L’OR, BPH International, ITI Ltd and many others in sectors ranging from Hospitality, Banking, Real Estate and for Indian Army to name a few. He has been associated with various projects including industrial buildings, townships, commercial space, corporate office complex, stadiums, SEZ including varied utility services.

At Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, Satpal is responsible for project planning and implementation for the group.

Abhi R. Thakur
Regional Director – South

Abhi R. Thakur is a graduate from Delhi University and has a Marketing and Communications degree from UCLA, USA. He worked with the Taj Group of Hotels for 12 years in Sales and Marketing after which he joined hotel operations with the Park Royal Hotel, New Delhi. Based in Chennai as General Manager of Radha Regent, Abhi oversees the operations of all group hotels in Southern India.

Sanjeev Shekhar
Regional Director – West

Sanjeev Shekhar is a graduate of Delhi University and has a diploma in Management. He has worked with Oberoi Hotels for 9 years at The Oberoi, New Delhi, The Krishna Oberoi, Hyderabad and The Oberoi, Mumbai, and was Director – Sales & Marketing (Western Region) from 1993 to 1996, when he left for Oman to work with the Accor Group.

Sanjeev relocated to India and joined Sarovar in 2002. After successful General Manager assignments, he now oversees the operations of all Sarovar group hotels in Western India. He is also the General Manager of Hotel Marine Plaza, Mumbai.

Tarun Maity
Regional Director – East

Tarun Maity has extensive experience having worked with hotels like Hyatt Regency, New Delhi and Leela Kempinsky, Mumbai. Prior to being the Regional Director, East, he was the Area Director, Sarovar Hotels overseeing operations of both, The Peerless Inn, Kolkata and Durgapur.

Tarun oversees the operations of all group hotels in Eastern India and is also General Manager of The Peerless Inn, Kolkata.

Nipun K Vig
Regional Director- North

A IHM graduate from Hyderabad, Nipun Carries 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He worked with Holiday Inn, Clarks, Amer before joining Sarovar. His tenure with Sarovar includes being the General Manager of Majestic Park Plaza, Ludhiana and then the Area Director. Nipun oversees the operations of all group hotels in Northern India.

Zubin Ghiara
Director- Training

Zubin Ghiara is a graduate from Mumbai University, holds a Diploma in Hotel Management and a post graduate in Hotel Administration from IHM, Mumbai. He is certified by the American Hotel and Motel Association as a Certified Hospitality Educator. He started his career with the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Zubin joined Sarovar Hotels in 1996 and has held positions in Corporate Training as well as hotel operations, including General Manager, Aditya Park Inn, Hyderabad. Zubin is responsible for all Training and Development activities of the group.

I.K. Mohanan
Corporate General Manager – Finance

I.K. Mohanan joined Oberoi Hotels in 1973, and after a 20-year stint, left the company in 1993 as Assistant Chief Accountant, overseeing the accounts operations of both units of Oberoi Hotels, Mumbai. He has also worked as Corporate Finance Manager of Aakins Hospitality, GP Group companies in Thailand. Mohanan joined Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in 1996.

C.K Cherian
General Manager –Development

C.K Cherian carries with him 30 years of experience, having been involved in project development with companies like Crompton Greaves Ltd, GVK Group (Hyderabad), Jayalaxmi Aluminium Pvt Ltd. (Mumbai).C.K Cherian joined Sarovar Hotels in 2001 as General Manger for Sarovar Hospitality Services at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad .Sarovar manages a 120 room hotel, student village accommodation for 500 students, Housekeeping, Engineering and F&B services for this Premiere Institute. As General Manger, Development, his role involves planning of upcoming projects for Sarovar Hotels & Resorts.

Rahat Madhok
General Manger-Marketing

Rahat is responsible for Corporate and Hotels’ marketing and advertising functions. Her prior work experience includes stints with Radisson-Edwardian Hotels, London, U.K and Mahajan & Aibara (Management Consultancy Division), Mumbai. She is an MBA from Richmond College, The American International University in London.

Suresh Nair
General Manager - Human Resources

Suresh is a post graduate in Personnel Management and has a diploma in Labour laws from the Indian Law Institute. He is also an MBA, and has an additional diploma in training and development. Suresh has worked with HCL and IDM. He was with VAM Organics from 1992 to 2001. He has also worked with Rotary Blood Bank. Prior to joining Sarovar Hotels, he headed HRD at PIZZA CORNER INDIA Pvt. LTD.Suresh would be responsible for HR and development policies and systems for the entire group.

P. B. Charna
Corporate Purchase Manager

P.B Charna joined Oberoi Hotels in 1972 and during his 24 years tenure with them, handled responsibilities including inventory control, purchasing and estate management. He joined Sarovar Hotels in 1996 and is responsible for sourcing of potential suppliers and vendor negotiations.

Sudhir Pai
Corporate Executive Chef

Chef Pai is a Mumbai IHM graduate with 21 years of varied experience in Hotels, Resorts and Flight kitchens. His last assignment was with Hotel Orchid, Mumbai as Executive Chef. He worked with Orchid since inception for 9 years. Prior to that, he worked as Executive Chef for Ambassador’s Sky Chef, Mumbai. His job assignments also include Leela Kempinski, Oberoi Towers, Dubai Metropolitan Hotel, Sahara Hotel, Riyadh, K.S.A and on the luxury Cruise Liner ‘RCCL’ in Miami.

Chef Pai is responsible for planning food concepts for Sarovar Hotels & Resorts.

Rohit Sharma
Corporate food & Beverage Manager

Rohit, after completing his bachelors from Mangalore University began his career as Management Trainee with The Leela. He worked with them for 6 years as a Manager practically in all the F & B areas before joining JW Marriott, Mumbai and was subsequently the F & B Manager with The Taj at Goa. Rohit is responsible for the corporate Food and Beverage strategy for Hotels & Resorts.

Rita Chaudhry
Corporate Executive Housekeeper

Starting her career with Taj Mahal, Mumbai, Rita Chaudhry’s career spans over 3 decades which includes her assignments with hotels like Hotel Taj Mahal, Vasant Continental, Hotel Park Royal (now Intercontinental) and Maurya Sheraton Hotel and Towers, New Delhi as the Executive Housekeeper. Rita Chaudhry brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience not only in operations but also in projects.

Deepa Sridhar
Corporate Communications Manager

As Manager - Corporate, Deepa is responsible for handling PR and Corporate Communications for the group. Deepa is a post graduate in Public Relations and Advertising. Her last assignment was as Manager - Marketing Communications, with Yo! China, a leading Chinese food chain in the country. She has also worked with various PR agencies and has the experience of handling clients from varied industries.
